OFFERING: $ 2,707.12    NEEDED PER SUNDAY:  $ 4,804.63

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1.  Radio Broadcast: The broadcast is dedicated to the glory of God.

2.  Lutheran Hour:  The Lutheran Hour can be heard on radio stations KJLY, Blue Earth, 104.5 FM, Sunday, 6:00 PM and KDHL, Faribault, 920 AM, Sunday, 6:00 PM.

3.  Preparing for Holy Communion:  It is good and right to always be prepared to receive Holy Communion. To do this, please allow a moment before the singing of the communion hymns while the organist plays a musical arrangement to pray. Prayers are located in the front cover and back cover of your hymnal for such purposes. We are now offering  both individual cup and the common cup on both sides.  Because of this it will not be necessary for people to have to cross over.  Everything else will stay the same.

4.  Sunday School: The Sunday School lesson for this week focuses on the story of “Jesus and the Little Children.” In our sin, we are like small children: helpless, dependent, and needy. So Jesus came to bestow His love and eternal gifts upon us. Parents could discuss, “How did Jesus show His compassion on these little children? How does Jesus shower His compassion on us?”

5.  Fishing Trip Group:  There will be a meeting for ‘fishing group’ on Sunday, February 5th.  It will be held in the Fireside Room after the worship service.

6.  Offering Envelopes:  You may pick up your 2012 offerings in the back of the church.

7.  North wooden doors of church:  The north wooden doors will be closed for the winter months.  Please use any of the other entrances into church.

8.  Annual Reports:  You are welcome to pick up an annual report at any of the entrances of church.

9.  SCRIP: We continue to sell Scrip (gift cards/certificates, for Hy-Vee, Kwik Trip, Wal-Mart, Mobil, Casey’s Lau’s, McDonald’s, Subway, etc.) at the table by the elevator after the Sunday morning worship service as a fundraiser for Little Lambs’ Childcare.  Thanks for your support.  We will also have yellow bracelets for sale for $3 to help the family of one of our Little Lambs’ toddlers who will need a liver and kidney transplant in the future. A benefit and silent auction at the Morristown Community Center is planned for him on Saturday, March 17.
