ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1.  Radio Broadcast: The radio broadcast service is dedicated to the glory of God and given in loving memory of Wayne Boese and sponsored by family and friends.

2.  LCMS National Offering:  Today, Sunday, June 20,  there will be a door offering so that it will be taken before the Synodical Convention in July.  Flyers will be handed out with more information and an additional envelope to mail more in if you choose.  Your support is important to our LCMS.

3. Fellowship & Bible Class:  Today, June 20^th, these will be held in the old parish hall due to the baptism today.

4.  Parish Paper:  The deadline for articles to be in the July parish paper is Monday, June 21.

5.  29 er’s potluck meal:  Everyone is invited for good food and fellowship with the 29 er’s group on Wednesday, June 23^rd at noon.

6.  You are invited:  All ladies are welcome to attend the opening worship service with Holy Communion of the LWML MN South District Convention at the Verizon Center in Mankato at 7:30 on Friday, June 25.

7.  Saturday Morning Breakfasts:  The fourth Saturday of each month the men of our church go to Pheasant Café for breakfast and fellowship at 7:30 a.m.  On the fourth Saturday of each month the women of our church go out for breakfast too, but at 8:00 a.m.  This month it falls on the 26^th  .  The women will meet at ‘Out to Lunch’ this month and each month decide where next.  You stay only as long as you have or can!  Hope to see you there!

8.  Volunteers needed for VBS- June 28-July 2: We are in need of volunteers to assist with VBS.  You can volunteer an hour, a day, or week, whatever fits in your schedule.  We need help with the following activities:  sign in registration, preparing lunches and snacks, supporting counselors throughout the day and day trip to Camp Omega.  We need an adult for every 5 kids for that day.  This is a great time and our volunteers last year had a blast!  There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board or call the church office if you can help! We also are looking for a couple homes to host the counselors that week.  Questions, please contact Cindy Gilmore.

 

 

 

9.  VBS Kickoff Potluck Change - Due to the youth day at ValleyFair on Sunday, June 27th, the kick off Potluck time has been changed from 5pm to 10:30am following church. It will be a brunch potluck. Members of the congregation and families attending VBS are encouraged to come and meet the counselors.
10.  Valley Fair Day: Summer is here and we are heading to Valley Fair on JUNE 27th, 2010!!!! The cost is going to be $20.50/person and we will leave after the brunch potluck which will be right after church, so bring your clothes with to church! There will be a sign up sheet on the church bulletin board, so if you plan on attending you MUST sign up so we can confirm ticket numbers with the park! And as always BRING YOUR FRIENDS!!!!!

11.  Baby shower:  You are invited to a baby shower for Trisha Palmer that will be held on July 10 at 11:00 a.m. and hosted by Cotta Guild.  Please RSVP to Kathy Flogstad or Amy at the church office, so the appropriate food can be prepared.  The baby is registered at ‘Babies-R-Us’.

12.  Secretary needed:  Cannon Valley Lutheran High School  is looking for a school secretary for the 2010-2011 school year.  Need to know how to do Microsoft word, Excel, internet, good with people, do filing, ordering, answering phones, taking messages, and other office related duties.  Benefits include retirement and disability insurance.  Work is 30 hours per week during the school year and 20 hours during the summer months.  Send resume to CVLHS, PO Box 346, Morristown, MN 55052 or email them to cvlhs@hotmail.com.  Any questions, please call the office and talk to either Doug or Andrew at 507-685-2636.

13.  B.F. Meschke Softball Tournament:  The 11^th annual tournament  is July 24^th at Alexander Park, Faribault.  All types of teams are invited:  Men’s, women’s, co-ed, and high school youth.  The registration fee is $130 per team and all proceeds go to the scholarship fund for CVLHS students.  Every team will be guaranteed four games.  If you would like to register, contact the school office at 507-685-2636 or send forms to CVLHS, POBox 346, Morristown, MN 55052.

14.  Thank you:  Cotta Guild thanks St. Paul congregation for the door offering of $121 in May in support of the MN S District LWML VBS for ethnic groups in The Cities at Concordia University in July.  May our gifts bless this mission outreach.
